The Princess Theatre, Torquay first opened its doors on Wednesday 7 June 1961 with Tommy Cooper and Morecombe & Wise top of the bill. The venue has welcomed many West End touring productions including We Will Rock You, SIX, Heathers The Musical, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, and Sister Act.
