The cast and crew of Mary Poppins and the Creative Learning team are welcoming young people and their parents/guardians to Milton Keynes Theatre on the morning of Saturday 15th November for a Production Careers Insight Morning.
This event will lift the curtain on hidden careers within the touring theatre industry, supporting young people taking part to experience backstage like never before; hearing directly from those currently touring the UK with Mary Poppins, in roles such as Stage Management, Automation, Lighting & Sound, Wigs & Wardrobe and Company Management.
You’ll hear from industry experts about their roles and find out more about how a large-scale touring production comes together with a talk from Company Management.
Who is the event for?
This event is aimed at young people aged 13 – 18 years, and their parents/guardians to learn more about various production theatre careers.
We invite guardians along as part of this session to shine more light on what a feasible career in theatre can look like for your young person and appreciate your role in supporting your child/young person when considering options for future training and career paths.
Please note, it is not necessary for everyone to attend with a parent/guardian. For anyone not being supervised by their guardian, Creative Learning staff will be on hand to safeguard young people.
This event is free to access, however places are very limited. Bookings close at 12pm on Friday 7th November.
