Bristol Hippodrome
We Will Rock You features more than 20 iconic Queen hits, including “Bohemian Rhapsody,” “We Are the Champions,” “Somebody to Love,” “Don’t Stop Me Now,” and of course, “We Will Rock You”. Set in a post-apocalyptic future where individuality has been outlawed and music is controlled by algorithms, the story follows two young revolutionaries, Galileo Figaro and Scaramouche, who dare to defy the system and the villainous Killer Queen to save rock ‘n’ roll.

This fist-pumping, foot-stomping anthem to freedom and self-expression is a musical for our time and offers something for everyone—unapologetically bold and filled with the timeless power of Queen’s legendary music. The show was written by Ben Elton in collaboration with Queen members Brian May and Roger Taylor.
With over 7 million fans rocked during its original 12-year West End run, WWRY made history as the longest-running show at London’s Dominion Theatre. A global phenomenon, WWRY has been performed in 28 countries and seen by more than 16 million people worldwide. This explosive, rockin’ spectacle is a celebration of the power of music and individuality that will leave audiences cheering for more. BLOC Productions is delighted to be bringing this much-loved show to the Bristol Hippodrome.

Bristol Hippodrome

The Bristol Hippodrome, the city’s very own West End theatre, opened its doors on 16 December 1912 when the curtain rose for the first time on what was generally agreed to be Oswald Stoll’s most magnificent provincial theatre.
It is a superb example of the grand architecture of the late Victorian era and is one of the masterpieces of design by Frank Matcham, the most eminent theatre architect of his time.
Towards the beginning of the century, the theatre staged a variety of acts as a Music Hall. Since then, and due to the fact that it has one of the largest theatre stages in Britain, The Bristol Hippodrome has established itself on the touring circuit for all major musical productions, thus becoming known as Bristol’s West End Theatre.
